NYCC will begin accepting VISTA member applications in March 2010. Until that time, we encourage you to research the AmeriCorps VISTA program and NYCC thoroughly, and decide if this unique experience is right for you.
NYCC VISTA Member Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Demonstrated commitment to and experience in college level community service
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Proven leadership, public speaking, and event planning experience and/or abilities
-Knowledge of and interest in working with students and diverse groups of people
-Members must commit to serving full time for one year without outside commitments*
